I started in the Beauty industry in 2004 when I got my first job in Boots. I loved playing with all the make up and quickly established myself as the Beauty Consultant's right-hand woman.
After leaving college, where I studied massage, my Boots career really took off and I moved to a much larger store. There I became a Beauty Consultant and eventually Account Manager for No7. I loved doing makeovers all day.
But I really love lashes, and would always get compliments on how good mine looked... I had to break it to them that they weren't mine, they were strip lashes. I had managed to make them look so natural, I soon became known as the girl to go to for eyelash advice.
It was then that I learnt about Eyelash Extensions.
So in 2012 off I went to Lash Perfect to learn all about Eyelash Extensions and I loved it!
I would apply them to anyone I could get my hands on and my friends were more than happy for me to pin them down to give them beautiful lashes.
Word slowly spread and I started getting friends of friends calling me up asking for me to do their lashes. And Berko Lashes was born.
I eventually left Boots and became a Beauty Manager for Tesco. But this didn't leave much time for my little eyelash business.
Fast forward through a lot of decision making and a few more courses, and Berko Lashes suddenly became my new career.
